Protect your savings and your freedom into retirement.

Our Vermont Medigap BlueSM plans provide security and features that are popular with Vermonters.

Span the gaps in Medicare: Medicare comes with deductibles and co-payments that can add up to thousands of dollars in medical bills. Vermont Medigap BlueSM plans give you a number of options for covering those costs.

Keep your current healthcare providers: You’re free to visit any provider that accepts Medicare in Vermont and nationwide.

Travel freely with nationwide coverage: There are no Medicare network restrictions. Some plans also include benefits for foreign travel emergency care.

Enjoy local service here in Vermont: Count on us for personal assistance with making the right choices for you. We’ve been helping our fellow Vermonters make a smooth transition to Medicare for decades.

Questions and Answers

The Initial Enrollment Period for Medicare Parts A and B begins three months before you turn 65 and lasts for seven months. For example, if you turn age 65 on July 1, your Initial Enrollment period would last from April 1 through November 1. By signing up for Medicare Part B when you’re first eligible, you can avoid paying a late penalty (your Part B premium comes out of your Social Security check). Plus, you’ll be able to enroll in the Vermont Medigap BlueSM plan of your choice before your birthday.
Medicare Supplement plans like Vermont Medigap BlueSM work with Original Medicare to provide you with more complete protection. Medicare Advantage plans (also called Medicare Part C plans) replace Original Medicare with more thorough coverage through a specific network of doctors and hospitals. Learn more about our Medicare Advantage plan options here.
If you're still working at 65, and you have coverage under a group health plan through an employer, check with your benefits administrator. You probably don't have to enroll in Medicare until you retire.
Medicare Parts A & B do not cover most prescription drugs. That’s why we also offer Blue MedicareRx PDP. Learn more about our affordable prescription plans.
